Traditional Lion Dance

Begin the New Year with the elegance and energy of a traditional Lion Dance ceremony. The celebration opens with the centuries-old ritual of dotting the eyes, symbolically bringing the lion to life, before the performance unfolds to the powerful rhythm of beating drums. The lions then perform Cai Qing, the plucking of auspicious greens, before parading through the Qaryat Al Beri complex. The ceremony concludes with a lively Yee Sang toss, inviting prosperity and joy as the Year of the Horse begins.
